Enhancing the user’s door experience

ASSA ABLOY asked students at Stockholm’s KTH Royal Institute of Technology to put their imaginations to work to enhance the user experience in a door. The activity generated a number of innovative ideas, proving that doors can be used for so much more than opening and closing. Interactive doors that welcome shoppers, hinges that harvest energy, NFC post-it-like notes that enable anonymous communication between neighbors – or why not use doors as a creative space for kids to doodle? https://futurelab.assaabloy.com/en/enhancing-the-users-door-experience/

Bringing new products to life

ASSA ABLOY Shared Technologies develop platform technologies to be integrated in ASSA ABLOY group company products. Thinking outside the box is encouraged at Shared Technologies where developing innovative solutions for sustainable energy, wireless connectivity, software and identification are part of the daily routine.

Protecting your assets – personal data

As consumers are beginning to adopt wearable technology, new issues arise. One issue is privacy. How do you deal with all the personal data that wristbands and other wearables reveal? Privacy issues are also starting to worry manufacturers; they didn’t expect users to wear these devices 24 hours a day, revealing intimate details of their lives. https://futurelab.assaabloy.com/en/protecting-your-assets-personal-data/
