Using the latest technologies and tried-and-tested techniques, ASSA ABLOY is constantly developing innovative solutions that improve customers’ lives, through greater security, safety and convenience, in mature as well as in emerging markets.

ASSA ABLOY was formed in 1994 through the merger of ASSA in Sweden and Abloy in Finland. Since then, ASSA ABLOY has grown from a regional company into an international group with around 43,000 employees and annual sales of over SEK 48 billion.

Since 2005 we have increased our R&D investment by 130 percent and grown the number of product design engineers to almost 1,300, a 70 percent increase. Sales of new products have risen to 27 percent of total sales over the past three years, exceeding our target of 25 percent.
